Team Building: Leadership

Leadership qualities are as varied as the skills and styles of great leaders throughout history. There is no “one-size-fits-all” definition of leadership but rather a series of competencies, attributes and skills which, when brought into play according to each unique situation, enhances the performance of a team.

To be an effective leader, a manager may need to focus on some of the following: identifying a team goal and focusing the team on that goal; ensuring an open, collaborative environment where team members feel able to contribute and valued; building trust and confidence within the team; setting priorities; managing performance through feedback. The list can be extensive!

So how can you offer an environment where your managers can explore, experience and extend their repertoire of leadership qualities? A Day in the Country offers a wide range of challenges and team building exercises which allow individuals to hone their leadership skills in a safe, experiential setting out of the office. These challenges can be tailored to your needs and can be delivered indoors or outdoors as appropriate.
