Accessibility Statement

We understand the importance of accessibility to everyone visiting A Day In The Country, including young children, the elderly and those with disabilities.  We strive to ensure staff and guests at A Day In The Country are treated equally and according to their needs.

Prior to arrival

A Day In The Country at The Great Barn is situated in the countryside, just outside the village of Aynho. The nearest main towns are Bicester or Banbury, both with mainline stations with links to major cities, approximately 8 miles away.

Car Parking

There is free parking for up to 100 cars directly outside The Great Barn on the gravel car park. Further parking is available on our grass overflow car park. The entrance porch is stone paving and those with disabilities may wish to be dropped off directly into the entrance.  The entrance doorway is all on one level without a step.

Entrance

Entrance into The Great Barn is all on one level without a step.

Toilets

There is a disabled toilet with baby changing facilities located on the ground floor just inside the foyer of The Great Barn.

The Aynho Room

The Aynho Room is on the ground floor and is accessed directly from the foyer without any steps.

The Croughton Room

The Croughton Room is on the ground floor and is accessed directly through the Aynho Room with a slight ramp between the two. The doorway is wide enough for wheelchair access.

Evacuation Procedure

In the event of evacuation, please leave by the nearest exit and congregate in the car park.

Patio & Gardens

The Patio is accessed through The Aynho Room and has steps down to the garden. There is a wheelchair access ramp to one side.

Grounds

The Great Barn is situated on a 250 acre estate which is a working farm. Whilst we are happy for guests to enjoy our grounds, please be aware that visitors must not enter the farmyard itself where heavy machinery may be working.
